At this point, I’m sure you may have already heard about Puffy mattress, but you may not know exactly why you should get this mattress. Keep reading this Puffy Mattress Review to find out more about why you should consider purchasing this mattress.
If you are in the market for a new mattress, strongly consider purchasing the Puffy Mattress. Much like a lot of mattresses this these days it will be delivered in a box and you get to take it out and watch it inflate….
Why get the Puffy Mattress?
Getting more REM sleep is very important, so if you are having trouble sleeping through the night then this mattress may provide you with the help you need to not only fall asleep faster but to stay asleep throughout the night. It is so comfortable that sound sleep will no longer be a thing of the past.
It is very comfortable compared to your average mattress and it keeps you nice and cool, as well as, comfortable as you sleep. For instance, if you have issues with night sweats you may find this a very good mattress to have compared to your regular old mattress because the likelihood of waking up in a pool of sweat is diminished due to its cooling effect.
Pros and Cons
First off this mattress may not be for everybody, but it is very comfortable and can prove to be worth the while and worth the money. And if you are looking for something that is soft but somewhat firm and makes you feel as though you are sleeping on Cloud 9, then the Puffy mattress may just be the mattress for you. The fact that it is made out of memory foam allows you to easily get comfortable as it contours to your body and helps you stay aligned in a relaxing and natural position.
It is crafted with high quality foam layers that helped make it universally comfortable.
An added benefit of their use of high quality foam is that there is little to no “off gassing”, so no worries when it comes to odd or offensive smells which is one of the main reasons I like this mattress.
When it comes to tossing and turning throughout the night this may be a fantastic mattress, especially if you have a significant other that may be bothered by your movements.
Puffy mattress manufacturer gives you a lengthy time-frame to try this mattress out and see if it will work for you. Just to give you a better idea, they give you at least 100 nights as a trial period which is longer than the usual trial time frame given to customers who purchase mattresses from other manufacturers. And at any point during this time frame, return the mattress if you are not satisfied with it and get your money back.
The quality of this mattress seems to be on par, so it is definitely a good investment; after all, sleep is very important and helps to keep your body in a healthy state and your mind well rested and refreshed.
The manufacturer has Puffy mattress also offers a lifetime warranty for their product which is a definite bonus.
Currently there is an upgraded version of the Puffy Mattress and it is known as the Puffy Lux Mattress. It is slightly softer than the original Puffy Mattress and is a bit pricier too. You can expect to spend anywhere between $597 up to about $1,795 between the two models of Puffy mattresses and depending on the size of mattress you are looking for.
So if you would like to buy this upgraded version (or the original version), then keep reading for a discount code.

If you are in love with an extra firm mattress, then definitely, this would not be the mattress for you.
Numerically speaking, if I were to rate this mattress on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it an eight as far as firmness is concerned personally speaking.
Puffy mattress is a relatively new company that was started in 2017 and are currently building their reputation and all that goes along with that…quality included.
As previously mentioned, puffy carries only one firmness when it comes to their mattresses and it may not be firm enough for some. In fact, it may prove to be a bit on the softer side for those who prefer extra firm mattresses.
This mattress company, unlike most mattress companies we are used to only have their product available on their online store. They do not have a physical store that you can go to in the event that you do need to return the mattress or would like to at least give it a try first-hand before purchasing. So that is something you will definitely need to consider before taking the leap and spending your heart and money.
Speaking of hard and money, puffy mattress does tend to be a bit on the expensive side; however, it is possible that over time the quality may prove that it is worth the purchase…it certainly seems that way from what I can tell.
Summing it up
The Puffy Mattress definitely lives up to the hype as “the Internet’s most comfortable mattress”. Overall, this mattress can be a wonderful addition to anyone’s nighttime regimen and can be a great way to ensure that you get a full night’s worth of sleep and wake up refreshed for your daily activities.
Say “Hello” to Toothpaste without Toxic Ingredients because when it comes to kids, we want to keep them as healthy as possible. And even when it comes to our ourselves, we want to maintain good health so we can live long, fruitful, and happy lives filled with little to no discomfort when it comes to dental care and our health. One way to do so is to ensure that what we put in our mouths does not impact us in a negative way.
We can do so through changing our everyday habits and what we use to care for ourselves. Our dental health care is one of those everyday habits that help us stay in good health. Keeping cavities at bay is an important way of caring for our dental health and to help prevent cavities, we use Fluoride laden toothpastes and drink fluoridated water.
But as we all know, too much of anything can prove detrimental. To avoid such an issue we need to set personal limits on what we are willing to expose ourselves to health wise.
So, What is the Problem with Fluoride?!
It can accumulate in the body and create various issues that can affect the brain, as well as, the body.
Fluoride is known to disrupt the endocrine system of the body and in respect to the brain, there are some evidence showing that it is possibly a neurotoxin.
Fluoride vs Fluorine
The elemental form of Fluoride is Fluorine. Fluorine and NOT Fluoride can be found in The Periodic Table.
Why the Confusion between Fluorine and Fluoride?
Fluoride is not quite the same as Fluorine. And part of the confusion probably stems from the name much like Chloride and Chlorine or Iodide and Iodine.
For those who are not into chemistry this may be quite confusing, especially when it comes to Fluoride versus Fluorine. But rest assure there is a difference between the two.
So what exactly is the difference between Fluorine and Fluoride?
Well, Fluorine is as mentioned before, an element found in the Periodic Table. It is a halogen (a salt maker) and under standard conditions is a toxic gas!
Fluoride, on the other hand is a negative ion (F-) of Fluorine (F). And any compound that has Fluoride (F-) is called a fluoride whether it is attached to a sodium molecule, as in sodium fluoride or a calcium molecule, as in calcium fluoride.
There is some miscommunication and confusion out there when it comes to fluoride by versus fluorine. So let’s clear the air a bit.
I have seen a few instances of these terms being used, interchangeably when they need not be used in that manner. I say this because Fluoride is the negative ionic form of Fluorine and even though they are related, they are definitely not the same, especially, in the world of chemistry.
If you were to come in contact with Fluorine, the experience would be quite life-changing as opposed to an experience with Fluoride. Under standard conditions, the element Fluorine exists as a pale yellow gas that is very, very toxic.
Fluoride, on the other hand is only toxic at extremely high quantities, so Fluoride can be toxic just as the elemental form, Fluorine from which it derives when used in abnormally large quantities.
However, this does not mean there can not be a cumulative effect when it comes to Fluoride exposure, as would be the case with daily brushing using a Fluoride toothpaste or even drinking water containing Fluoride.
Limiting your Exposure to Fluoride
It can prove a hard feat to get rid of Fluoride as it is present in water and toothpaste – two of the main vectors through which we come into contact with Fluoride on a daily basis.
But there are measures you can take, like investing in a quality water filter that is stated to filter out Fluoride backed by lab test results provided to you by the manufacturer showing that it is capable of filtering out Fluoride.
You can take added measures to ensure it does filter out Fluoride by sending samples of your filtered water for testing.
This does not mean that Fluoride can be avoided completely; however, with so many venues through which we are constantly bombarded with Fluoride, it is best to limit how much we expose our bodies to and at what frequency. If this means getting a water filter that filters out the fluoride in your water, then by all means, do so as soon as possible.
Yes, they can be quite pricey and elusive or hard to find. But don’t be deterred because this is possible.
And if you are completely skeptical as to the possibility of filtrating out fluoride (this is a process that can be quite difficult when it comes to overall effectiveness or results) from water, there are other options you can explore, such as, making use of a well water system and collecting rainwater and filtering it through your chosen means of filtration.
Concerning the Fluoride found in your toothpaste, you can always opt out of purchasing fluoridated toothpaste, especially when it comes to your little ones.
Brands like Hello have a line of non-fluoridated a.k.a fluoride free toothpastes and have several options of flavors when it comes to toothpaste that contain absolutely no Fluoride. Burt’s Bees is another brand that sells a Fluoride Free natural toothpaste.
You can also try using activated charcoal made into a paste with just a little bit of water as a substitute for toothpaste when it comes to brushing your teeth. Just be sure to designate a specific toothbrush to avoid staining your regular toothbrush.
Other ways to clean your teeth if you would like to avoid fluoridated toothpastes are as follows:
> herbal tooth powders
> baking soda
> coconut oil
> Fluoride-free toothpastes containing neem leaf extract
…and even Sea Salt.
So, there are various options out there for those who want to limit their exposure to Fluoride.
Summing It Up
Do keep in mind that Fluoride does have its benefits when it comes to dental health. Fluoride helps prevent Dental caries, otherwise known as cavities that could prove to be an issue in the long run if proper Dental Care is not being applied. However, that doesn’t mean that it should be used in excessive amounts. There are far better natural options out there that can help you maintain good dental health.

Price: $499 to $599
Model: Vitamix Professional Series 750 Heritage
Colors Available: Copper, Stainless Steel (brushed)
Availability: Amazon, Best Buy, Macy’s, William Sonoma
Place of Manufacturer: USA
I often try to stay away from doing product reviews, but I certainly think that my experience with the Vitamix Pro 750 Heritage truly warrants one.
Initially, when I heard of Vitamix, I thought of the I love Lucy Episode where she does a commercial for vitameat…, well see video below for more details (this episode was hilarious!)
Before purchasing this blender, I did extensive research to determine what blender suited my household best. It wasn’t easy…I literally took 3 months looking over details and thinking things through when it came to my final contenders, Blendtec or Vitamix? I weighed the pluses and minuses…like how often I would be using it and for what purposes, as well as, how much noise would be tolerable before finally deciding on the Vitamix PRO 750 Heritage.
Why I Took So Long to Purchase It
While there are many glowing reviews to support purchasing a Vitamix Blender, I certainly didn’t want to give into the hype. So, I carefully studied the bad reviews and the common links between them (for example, container coating flaking off into blended foods…this was an issue with some older Vitamix Models; models purchased after August 11, 2015 are not affected) to help gauge whether it was worth the purchase. Then went on to deciding the capacity wanted based on the size of my household and the types of foods we would need to process in the blender (perfectly crushed ice was a must).
I also wanted to make sure it was well worth the investment; after all, there were other blenders out there that worked well and came with a lower price tag.
Both Blendtec and Vitamix appeared to be equally matched as far as performance was concerned. So what really cinched it for me was the overall look. I prefer the sturdier, more robust look of the Vitamix, as opposed to the slender, somewhat retro look of Blendtec. Check out Blender Babes review here if you are in the market for a high-powered or professional blender and would like more comparison based info.
The Vitamix Professional 750 Heritage: Pros and Cons
There are many pros to having a Vitamix, but there are a handful of cons too, so here are a few.
- Powerful 2.2 hp motor
- Metal base housing instead of plastic
- Self cleaning feature that makes cleanup a breeze
- Comes with 5 programmed settings – cleanup, soups, purées, smoothies, frozen treats
- Comes in several finishes (copper, stainless steel)
- Great for grinding grains into flour (Vitamix carries a dry grains container for this, though not necessary in order to grind dry grains or even nuts into flour – I’ve used the regular container for dry grains and it works very well)
- Great for grinding coffee and spices
- BPA free, Co-polyester, shatterproof container
- Sharp, laser cut stainless steel blades that are attached to container (so no worries about having to piece back together detachable blades and parts)
- The blade seal is Teflon free in the Professional Series 750 Heritage Model
- Fits under standard cabinets, albeit somewhat of a tight fit
- Comes with a lovely cookbook that includes a variety of recipes from smoothies to some pretty tasty pancake batters
- Comes with a tamper to help push down ingredients when blending thick foods
- Blends ice very, very well, for those frozen treat moments
- Great for making hot soups and just from the shear friction of the movement of the blades
- Can be filled to brim and still work fantastically
- Great for making Smoothie King type smoothies, i.e. well-blended, ultra smooth, delicious, and healthy frozen treats
- Can be used for mixing batter and dough (within good reason of course)
- In my book, there is no need for a juicer, because it works well for breaking down fibrous fruits and vegetables – good for making whole juices — fruit with pulp/flesh blended in, which I personally prefer — so no loss of the beneficial fiber contained in those fruits and veggies
- Great for making nut-based milks (hazelnuts, almonds, etc. – pre-soaking the nuts make this a quicker process)
- Noisy due to powerful motor, but the Vitamix Professional Series 750 Heritage is 40% quieter than the Vitamix Pro 750 (with the same variable motor)
- Blender/ Base is a bit wider than regular household blenders, so more storage space may be required
- Container can develop a slight smell if you use it for grinding strong spices like peppers, for instance (even after washing it right after use – trust me, I am religious about this) so you may want to keep a second container handy for smoothies and all other light or non-fragrant foods.
The Verdict: Is the Vitamix Worth the Hefty Price Tag
Absolutely, yes! I love my Vitamix and definitely should have bought it sooner. It makes blending green smoothies less of an ordeal…no chunks to chew, especially when it comes to tougher greens like kale and collards. I love using it for making plant based milks like hazelnut milk – it does an excellent job of grinding up pre-soaked hazelnuts into very fine bits that could be easily strained using a nut milk bag.
I also love how well it grinds small seeds from fruits like strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries which are typically hard for regular/standard home blenders to do – this definitely would have been an instant selling point for me had I known this prior to purchasing.
Ways to Save on Purchasing a Vitamix
The most obvious is to wait for it to go on sale at your local retailer, William Sonoma, Macy’s, Best Buy to name a few. Other ways of saving include, but are not limited to the following:
- Purchasing with a group of friends to get wholesale price
- Various discounts, such as, reward points/dollars from your cell phone provider or even your utility companies
- You can use credit card cash back to help reduce out-of-pocket expense
- Get coupons if you can find them…try join honey for easy access to working coupons
- Get refurbished units – they work just as well, are a fraction of the price, and are backed by warranty
I am definitely a fan and would highly recommend getting the Vitamix Professional Series 750 Heritage because it is one of the best blenders in the Vitamix line of blenders. As long as there is room in your budget for this and you are certain you can put it to good use, then most definitely go for it! And you will enjoy making your own delicious smoothies and much more, at home.
If you have any questions concerning the Vitamix Pro 750 Heritage, be sure to comment below. For those who already own a Vitamix Blender or purchased one after reading an online review, please feel free to share your experience (love it or hate it).
Product: Instant Pot
Retail Price Range: $79 – $139
Size: 6 Quarts
Cheapest Price Available: Amazon
Place of Manufacture: China
My Rating: 8.5 out of 10
For those who are interested in making home cooked meals in an instant, there is the Instant Pot® – a programmable pressure cooker that cuts down meal prep to a fraction of the time & will leave you with mouth watering, beautifully cooked meal(s). But if you enjoy cooking and don’t mind spending minutes, even hours cooking on a stove, then you are more likely to ponder this, does the Instant Pot® live up to the hype?
Whether you choose a 10-in-1 model, a 7-in-1 model, or even a smaller model, this product is definitely for those who are constantly on the go, but want to make every effort possible to eat healthy, home-cooked meals. And even if you have plenty of time on hand, there are just those days when you need things done fast…saying “NO” to fast food dining is certainly easier when you have the instant pot.
Why Consider the Instant Pot Over Its Competitors?
It is a nice product that combines several products in one – a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, pasteurizer (select models), and can be helpful in canning goods when it comes to water bath steam canning (not pressure canning).
With exception tho clay pots this is the next best thing. It stands above the rest because it comes with a stainless steel cooking vessel as opposed to a non-stick coated vessel. By now, many of us are aware of the dangers of cooking with non-stick cookware, but for those who are a little hazy on this issue, here is some food for thought. Highly fluorinated chemicals known as Fluropolymers used in creating most non-stick cookware surfaces have been linked to cancer, reproductive issues, tumors, hormone imbalances or disruptions, as well as, various negative health effects.
Polytetrafluoroetheylene (PTFE) and coatings containing polyfluoroalkyl and perfluoroalkyl compounds (PFAs) are fluoropolymers that are extremely toxic and hard to get rid of once in the body. These chemicals are also damaging to the environment & prove difficult to remove once contamination occurs (for instance, contamination of water supplies). The introduction of heat to these chemicals results in contamination of foods being cooked through the process of leaching.
Eating foods cooked on non-stick surfaces has been known to cause various health problems including infertility and thyroid disease, so why use a product containing such chemicals to cook your food when healthier alternatives like stainless steel exists?
More on the Instant Pot
The Instant pot creates incredible meals in a short amount of time. On the top end, the Ultra 10-in-1 Model (6 qt.) retails for $149.95 & the lower end, the Lux 6-1 Model retails for $79.00.
There are many, many fans out there of the Instant Pot, so much so that there are private Facebook groups dedicated to the instant pot – that in itself speaks volumes. You can of course ask to join these Facebook groups (or manage an invitation…) If you would like to engage in the many discussions and shared recipes, among other useful information shared on the instant pot. Instant pot also has an app with many delicious recipes to try that are tried and true and made for use in the instant pot pressure cooker.
Available in various models & sizes to better suit your needs.
Uses a durable 3-ply stainless steel cooking pot, so no worries about chemicals leaching into food.
Home-cooked meals in a matter of minutes (up to 70% faster).
Great for more than cooking food in a hurry…you can do a variety of things like make yogurt, water bath canning, perfectly boiled and easy to peel eggs, etc.
Shorter cook time may help preserve heat sensitive nutrients, meaning healthier and more nutritious meals.
Comes with a lovely recipe booklet with several tested recipes.
A slight learning curve for those new to using electrical pressure cookers or pressure cookers altogether.
As with any pot, if you don’t like one pot meals, then you will have to cook all portions of your meals separately (I know it’s not really a con, just a matter of cooking preference & not the device itself).
No pressure canning for those who prefer it over steam.
Recipes not intended for instant pot will need to be converted (including other pressure cooker recipes).
Using a simpler version of your recipe and building on from there may take time.
So does the Instant Pot live up to the hype? Well, the answer is clear- absolutely, yes! And if you are new to using a pressure cooker or are used to a different brand or type of pressure cooker (i.e. stove top pressure cookers), then the Instant Pot might prove to be intimating because of all the buttons & programmed features, but it is most definitely worth it.
Whether you are pressed for time or lack the patience when it comes to cooking, Instant pot is a great cookware to have.
Instant pot is for those who would like to create incredible food /masterpieces in a short amount of time. There is certainly no need to eat out when you have an instant pot, so it is definitely worth buying. There will be plenty of times when you will appreciate having the Instant Pot around. You will be in love with all the things you can do with this pot and you will certainly make good use of it and your time.
